Insurers Don't Know How They Got Here
Karen Koehler (link to the original post) was the first person I worked for doing substantive work in law school, as well as my first employer after law school. She's taken on the big insurance companies more times than I probably ever will (its one of her niches, after all). In this clip, she demonstrates a few great principles:
1) Make them look stupid;
2) Never give up on a simple question (see 1);
3) Be nice, but not overly so, it makes it so much better when they snipe;
4) In bad faith cases, expose the shell game as much as you can.
