Thai Parliament Held Hostage By Angry Proletariat - Hundreds Injured
Thailand's parliament was literally held hostage for several hours by several thousand of its own citizens. The reason? Parliament, largely made up of the upper class, is trying to reconstitute its class structure in the wake of a democratic elections. The result: Intense clashes between protesters and the police, which the military was forced to resolve. Several hundred people were injured, with one death.
