Medicare: Fighting Medical Negligence Through the Almighty Dollar
I have to give it to Medicare, they've started hitting hospitals where it hurts, their pocketbooks. Medicare is going to end payments for easily preventable hospital errors. In addition, they will disallow direct billing of those patients for those errors, or for remedying those errors.

For those in the Plaintiff's game, this amounts to a significant Rule of the Road, which will only expand with time. I, for one, am excited to see if this results in a reduction of cases of these types. You can read the full story here.
