Medical Care for the Happy...I mean gay
It really weirds me out when I see blatant discrimination rearing its ugly head. It weirds me out even more when its within the U.S. I know it shouldn't, because there's a lot of really stupid people on the face of this planet. I know the U.S. has a long and bitter history of discrimination.
No doubt you have read about California, where you can no longer refuse to treat a gay person for religious reasons. The case arose in the context of a fertility clinic, but had implications for all health care. Can you imagine the potential effect on the AIDS population, gay men unable to get needed medical treatment for religious reasons.
Let's not forget the fact that, if Jesus were a doctor, it is doubtful that he would have denied medical care to anyone for any reason.
